Energy inputs and crop yield relationship for sesame production in north central Nigeria
The energy-agriculture relationship is becoming very important in view of an increasing demand for food production to meet the pressure from an ever-increasing population. For these reasons, energy use pattern, energy efficiency, and energy inputs-output relationship were determined for Sesame in north central Nigeria. Data were collected from 120 farmers by using face to-face questionnaire method. The results indicated that total input energy use in sesame production was 2632.4 MJ, which was dominated by human labour energy (24.2%) and organic manure energy (21.1%). The output energy for sesame production was 13750.0MJ and the energy use efficiency ratio was 5.2. The proportion of renewable energy used (56.2%) in the surveyed Sesame farms was slightly higher than the non-renewable energy forms (44.8%), and sesame production in the study area is mainly depended on indirect energy forms. Organic manure was observed to be the most important energy input that influences the yield of Sesame in the study area.

Study on ETFs & index funds performance in India
Exchange Traded Funds (“ETFs”) are increasingly popular investment vehicles. ETFs are one type of structured exchange-traded product. An ETF is an investment product that allows an investor to buy and sell shares in a single security that represents a fractional ownership of a portfolio of securities. ETFs are open-ended investment companies or unit investment trusts that are registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940. The first ETF, SPDR Trust, was listed in 1993 with an underlying portfolio designed essentially to replicate the performance of the S&P 500 index. Since then over 700 ETFs have been introduced. This study shows the performance of ETFs & Index Fund from investors perspectives. The study is based on 6 USA based ETFs that track well known indexes. As in India ETF market is still at introductory stage so International market has been traced.

Socio-economic and demographic determinents of child health in punjab (pakistan)
This study examines the relationship between socio economic and demographic factors on the child health status by employing Logistic Regression Model. For this the data from the Pakistan Demographic and Health Survey (PDHS) 2006-07 was utilized. Education affects the capacity and the behaviors of the people living in the various regions along with some other explanatory variables. It was found that child’s health depends directly or indirectly on parental education and health acquiring activities. Parents with improved social status, protected source of water and access towards health services had better status of their child health. Death rate of child was found high among children of small aged mothers. Increase in birth space diminishes the chances of death and sickness of child. First order births faced great risk of death and sickness. Health care matter like maternal and fetal care in expecting period, delivery place and person who assisted during child birth also impact child physical condition. Research study suggested that Literacy rate should be enhanced to develop the understanding about reproductive health and to optimise the use of accessible health resources. Training and skills should provide to traditional birth attendants and enhance their contacts with professional health staff.

Face recognition : a literature review
As one of the most successful applications of image analysis, face recognition has recently received significant attention, especially in recent years. The reason for this trend is the wide range of commercial, real and law enforcement applications. The availability of feasible technologies for the recognition of face images acquired in an outdoor environment with changes in illumination and/or pose remains a largely unsolved problem. This paper provides an upto date survey of face recognition research. In addition, issues of illumination and pose variation are covered.

Experimental analysis of thermal distortion in thermo-chemical treatment
Gas carburizing is the most widely used surface hardening process for number of automobile and other heavy duty machinery components made up of ferrous material. Itis a complex process and many literatures shows that the defects are due to shape distortion and volume change. This work attempts to minimize the extent of those defects in gas carburized automobile parts through Taguchi’s DOE approach. The optimum combination of parameters which will alleviate the distortion problems are obtained through the response graph method. The results are compared with that obtained from S/N ratio method. The studies are validated through experiments. In addition the present study shows that the introduction of optimal conditions and elimination of straightening operation saves time and money.

A study of internal pressures of ternary and sub-binary liquid mixtures at different temperature
Internal pressures of the ternary and sub-binary mixtures of Benzene(1)+Hexane(2) +n-Propanol(3) have been computed from ultrasonic velocity measurements at different mole fractions in the temperature range of 300C- 450C. The equation formulated by Andiappan et.al, for evaluating internal pressures of binary liquid mixtures has been modified and extended in the present work for the Ternary systems. The internal pressures computed with the help of the modified relation and showed close agreement with observed values. The absolute average deviation between the calculated and observed values from 1.7% to 1.9% for the ternary system studied.

Traditional medicines - Korea, china, India
It is necessary to considered as the specialties of the sidha system. As the name suggests, this system endeavors to make its user, a siddha by making body fully resistant. Plants play a major role in curing disorders. Another specialty is examining the pulse or nadi sastram. This systems uses pulse as an aid to identify the disorders. The variation in pulses contains the types of pulses, corresponds to diseases and symptoms to be provided is been done by the practioners. As like that of our Indian traditional medicine. Same like our Indian traditional medicine, we have Korean Traditional Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. This paper gives the information regarding the methods and techniques used in those medicines.Siddha is a natural treatment and the oldest medical system of healing in the world. Nadi which is a pulse-based diagnosis method which is the skill of feeling the pulse, and is known to dictate all the salient features of a human body. In this paper, we provide a complete spectrum of details of our procedure for obtaining three different pulses based on time series. This system contains contains a strain gauge equipped with a diaphragm element, a transmitter and also an amplifier, a digitizer which quantifies the analog signals. The system is designed with 16-bit accuracy in such a way that it provides no interference noise and no external electronics. Compared with the prior systems like ECG, the system provides a detailed classification of the nadi pulses which produces the waveforms with respect to abnormalities.
