Optimization study on drilling of al-6061 with coated tools under MQL condition using hybrid approach
In this paper, a Hybrid approach has been developed by combining Taguchi Method, grey relational analysis method and fuzzy logic, to reap their advantages in the drilling process. Using hybrid approach a single hybrid grade is determined for multiple response characteristics. Drilling experiments has been performed on Al6061 material with coated and uncoated HSS tools under Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) condition. The controllable parameters such as speed, feed, lubricant, tool material and point angle which influence the responses like power, temperature, Burr height, surface roughness are identified. The responses are analyzed using this hybrid approach and optimum controllable parameter combination is identified.

Nanoherbal coating of cotton fabric to enhance antimicrobial durability
The present investigation emphasizes on screening of herbs with potent antimicrobial activity, preparation of nanoparticles of their extracts, treatment of cotton fabrics with herbal nanoparticles, assessment of their antimicrobial efficacy and finally assessment of wash durability. Based on the antimicrobial activity and availability Neem was selected and the herbal Nanoparticles were prepared using Neem extract. Results confirmed that the neem Nanoparticles treated fabrics showed maximum antimicrobial activity than the plain Neem extract treated fabrics against S. aureus and E. coli in both qualitative and quantitative tests. The antimicrobial activity of the Neem Nanoparticles treated fabrics was retained upto 25 washes where as the plain neem extract treated fabrics retained the activity only up to 10 washes. These results indicate that the application of nanotechnology is ideal for improving the antimicrobial activity and wash durability of herbal-based antimicrobial textiles.

Study of multiple parameter algorithm for wrong decisions in vertical handovers in wireless heterogeneous networks
One of the most important and challenging problems for seamless access of wireless and mobile services is mobility management, which will be regardless of the services and networks. Mobility management enables the Mobile (MT) to switch between networks for better resource management and is still a hot research topic. With so many handover algorithms available, how to evaluate and select the best algorithm becomes critical, thus making handover algorithms one of the essential components for the successful implementation of mobility. These algorithms need to be designed to provide the required Quality of Service (QoS) over a wide range of applications. This work is based on new criterion called Wrong Decision Probability (WDP) which is used to evaluate the performance of vertical handover algorithms and is based on signal strength (SS) and the available bandwidth (BW), which are combined together to obtain a better decision for handover. This paper proposes a new user centric algorithm for vertical handovers, which minimizes the wrong decisions during a handover process and maximize the user throughput by taking into account Bandwidth and Signal Strength of the network.

An Effective Role of Year Coordinators using ICT tools in the two tier Engineering Education Institution following Fully Flexible Credit System
In the recent years, Engineering Education had seen rapid changes which include transferring of traditional fixed credit system into Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS). Recent day students like to make decisions on their own and like to plan their future by themselves. Employers expect students to have multi-disciplinary competency, leadership skills and be ICT ready. But student aspirations and demands of the workplace have become highly diverse. The present rigid, fixed-credit system of learning offers very little flexibility to students in choosing the courses of their liking and helps little in becoming a well-rounded person. As part of continuous improvement in providing quality education. the next step in this direction is by introducing the Fully Flexible Credit System into its academic curriculum. By this, students can register for courses according to their interests and academic ability in completing them. FFCS allows students to decide their academic plans and permits them to alter it as they progress in time. For this process; each batch shall be allotted with the year coordinator as the class coordinator does not work well. The idea is to make the year coordinator as the key person once the batch starts in the academic and to continue until the batch comes out after four years. This will ensure that the student makes the right decision at the right time like choosing of credits and the courses. Year Coordinator will also take up the role of the project coordinator what is followed in the earlier method. The efficiency and effectiveness of the final year project lies on the hand of year coordinator. In this paper, we present an effective method of managing student strength in specifically coordinating the final semester project work which shapes the student community to shine in the industry.

Studies on brachyuran crabs from mallipattnam (Palk Strait) southeast coast of India
Brachyuran crabs for the present investigation were collected from offshore region of Mallipattinam (Lat. 10°12¢ NS. and Long. 79°20¢ EW) which is situated near sethubhava ghatiam on sethusamudram canal. Ashvini River enters into Palk Strait at Mallipattinam, which carries large among of nutrients flushing into the probably promotes the species biodiversity both racially and individually. In the present investigation nearly 23 species of marine crabs are landing at Mallipattinam coast. Out of these twenty three species frequency of landing restricted to 12 species alone. They are Portunus pelagicus, P. sanginolentus, C. lucifera, C. feriata, C. callinosa, Podophthalmus vigil, Galene bispinosa, Ocypoda macrocera, Ocypoda platytarsis, Calappa lophos, C. bicornis, and Philyra globasca. In these groups some species are non-edible and others are edible but the non-edible species are commercially important because of their use in aqua and poultry feed industry. The population density, distribution frequency, sex ratio, fecundity of these crabs showed significant variation with reference to seasons. The study critically focusing the fact, that the biodiversity of brachyuran species and even other species may be decline in future due to the deposition of sand into the Palk Strait region. In these areas indicates that this area suitable for crab inhabiting and propagation.

Biometric signal Triggerd security system
The main aim of this paper is the briefing of secure locker systems having authorized input methods of fingerprints as well as an embedded burglar alarm system. The system can be used for domestic, commercial or industrial purpose. The purpose of this project is to provide a secured and reliable environment to the users for their safety valves by providing a unique identity to every user using the FINGER PRINT identification technology. Finger print authorization is required for activation of the scanner. Scanner is interfaced to the micro controller with the serial interfacing. The micro controller reads the data from the scanner. The micro controller allows those users, who are authorized to operate the account. If any unauthorized user tries to operate the account the micro controller, a warning is made. After a certain trial if finger print is not matched, scanner will block the system. The total information about the account holders is stored in the EEPROM. Keypad is used to enter the password to operate the account or Locker. A special alarm system is also used in this project. If a person is threatened by anyone, user can use any other finger for critical conditions, such as emergency. During such cases, system gets locked and a warning is sent to the emergency services using alarm burglar system.

Generated a geophysical based computer code for estimation of crustal thickness - A case study
In this study an extended geophysical survey using gravity and high angle refracted seismic methods with recorded earthquake has been carried out in Kerman province in southeast of Iran. The purpose of the applied geophysical surveys was to provide information on crustal structure and lithospheric thickness. The purpose of this research is focused on determination of Moho depth and for this reason several profiles for both methods were performed and by use of topography and gravity data with a reasonable combination with high angle refracted seismic data and earthquake record, the crustal and lithospheric thickness of Kerman province was calculated. Oldenburg- Parker algorithm was the base of gravity survey of the present work but by use of Matlab programming environment and generated C Sharp computer codes was optimized, improve and then executed. The key factor of this study was generated computer code, which named as “MOHO R.A.T 1.01”. For seismic data, a least-squares analysis of the travel-time data was made and the uncertainties were taking in to account. Finally, depth calculations for the velocity discontinuities and gravity anomaly contour maps were made. The comprehensive comparison between the obtained results and other studies on the selected area showed good agreement, which verified the ability of produced code.

Investigating the antecedents of HR outsourcing
This paper aims at defining a specific model on the decision to engage in HR outsourcing. There have been much deliberations that HR outsourcing as an organizational strategy has increased considerably over the last decade. Nevertheless, this trend has attracted little academic attention regarding the factors that influence the reliance on HR outsourcing. In this article, we provide a critical review on the contextual variables such as organizational size, strategic orientation, managers’ characteristics and environmental dynamism as primary determinants of the decision to outsource HR functions. This study adds to the present literature by explaining conceptually the linkages between these variables by applying both the resource-based view and transaction cost economics when making outsourcing decisions.
