Persian simple modal verbs modality
Verbs which drives from “bayestan” (must, should),”tavanestan”(can) and “shodan” are simple modal verbs in Persian. Syntactically, these verbs are defective. Semantically ,these verbs at least receives two readings :epistemic modality and root reading. whenever they conveys concepts like “permission”, ”necessity” or “will” they have root reading, which divides into two sub_ classes root_ deontic and root_ dynamic. epistemic modality conveys “possibility” or “”probability”. Epistemic_ objective is based on scientific data but epistemic_ subjective is based on personal judgments .Root modality co-occurs with subjective forms and epistemic modality co-occurs with indicative forms.

Effect of copper on germination, protein content and peroxidase activity of Phaseolus vulgaris
An attempt was made to investigate the effect of copper on germination, protein content and peroxidase activity in Phaseolus vulgaris. Increasing copper concentration does not show significant effect on seed germination. An increase in total protein concentration was found with increase in copper concentration however the increase was more prominent in shoots. Peroxidase was found to enhance in shoots whereas in roots the activity increases upto 50µM after which the activity was found to decrease.

Islamic accounting and the cash Waqf; a primer
The paper explores the link between Islamic accounting and the cash Waqf. It exposes and introduces the reader to accounting for cash Waqf in medieval times and in contemporary times. It tracesdiachronically the legitimacy and use of cash Waqf, describes Islamic accounting and highlights its relevance for cash Waqf accounting. The paper concludes with an opinion on the application of the seemingly recent phenomenon of Islamic accounting with specific reference to cash Waqfs.

Comparative study of cache optimization techniques
The power consumption of modern microprocessors is a primary design limitation across all processing domains, from embedded devices to high performance chips. Reducing feature sizes and increasing numbers of transistors residing on a single die only impairs this issue. Schemes are immediately required to handle this issue, yet still deliver high performance from the system. Architectures have several options for the organization cache. Typically, there are two approaches to improve the efficiency of the cache: either by increasing the number of “live” blocks residing in the cache —while keeping the capacity of the cache intact— or by dynamically adjusting the cache size to the actual requirements of the executing applications. In this paper we have compared some proposed methodologies from selective research papers for improvement of cache performance. The first one resizes cache and unused part is gradually decayed i.e. stop producing hits. In second approach cache is divided into hierarchy, which is searched in sections one by one to get a required hit. Finally, in third approach we re-configure our cache by using a configuration vector that is loaded with a new configuration before an application is started.

The effect of scaffolding on Iranian students of advanced level in English writing system
This study investigates the effects of scaffolding on Iranian students of advanced level in English writing system. Participants are 30 students who were studying passage one in an institute in NourAbad, Iran. This study was conducted to determine whether the scaffolding affect on their writing ability. Data were collected using language proficiency test. Then data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicate that scaffolding can improve students’ writing ability and help them to write more effectively.

Multiple biometric systems: design approach and application Scenario
Biometric technology has become a basis of an extensive array of highly secure identification and personal verification solutions in our world today. More importantly in the wake of heightened concern about security and rapid advancements in communication and mobility. Significant application areas of biometric systems include security monitoring, access control and authentication, border control and immigration, forensic investigation, telemedicine and so on. When a single trait is used in an application it is referred to as unimodal biometric, while combination of two or more sources or traits in an application is referred to as multiple biometrics. But biometric system that uses a single biometric trait for recognition has this propensity to contend with problems related to non-universality of the trait, spoof attacks, large intra-class variability, and noisy data. Besides, no single biometric trait can meet all the requirements of every possible application, hence the need for multiple biometric system to overcome the limitation of unimodal biometric. The new paradigm is robust against individual sensor or subsystem failures and spoof attack, as it is very difficult to spoof multiple traits simultaneously. In addition, the technological environment is very appropriate because of the widespread deployment of multimodal devices (PDAs, 3G mobile phones, Tablet PCs, laptops etc). The aim of this paper is to present an overview of multiple biometric systems, design approach and application scenario.

Investigation of baffle spacing effect on shell side heat transfer characteristics in shell and tube heat exchanger using computational fluid dynamics
Three-dimensional CFD simulations are carried out to evaluate the effect of baffle spacing on heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics of a single phase, single pass and 35% baffle cut, single segmental baffled Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger. Shell and tube heat exchanger is the most common type of heat exchanger and widely use in oil refinery and other large chemical processes because it is suitable for high pressure application. The processes in analyzing the simulation consist of modelling (SolidWorks 2012) and meshing (HyperMesh11). Then, the boundary condition will be set before been simulate in ANSYS Fluent version 6.3 based on the experimental parameters. The variation in Shell side Outlet temperature (K), Heat transfer coefficient (W/m2K), Shell side Pressure drop (Pa) and Total transfer rate (W) are measured for different Baffle spacing Bc and for different mass flow rate Kg/s. The sensitivity of the shell side heat transfer characteristics are analysed and concluded.

Fracture of the tibial tubercle in athletic adolescent
Avulsion fractures of the tibial tuberosity are uncommon. There occur in well-developed, muscular athletic male individuals nearing skeletal maturity. The authors present a case of an 15-year-old boy who has a type IIB avulsion-fracture of the tibial tubercle. Surgical treatment gives an excellent outcome. We compare it with the literature.
