A review of feature selection models for classification
The success of a machine learning algorithm depends on quality of data .The data given for classification, should not contain irrelevant or redundant attributes. This invariably increases the processing time. The data set, selected for classification should contain the right attributes for accurate results. Feature selection is an essential data processing step, prior to applying a learning algorithm. Here we discuss some basic feature selection models and evaluation function. Experimental results are compared for individual datasets with filter and wrapper model.

Ayurvedic plants used in diabetes mellitus: a systematic review
Diabetes is a common illness, according to the unique assessments of ayurvedic concepts diabetes is the disease which occurs when toxins get accumulated in the tissue and result in circulation blockage. The various root causes of diabetes that ayurveda enlists are poor nutrition and poor digestion, inequity of nervous system, physical and mental stress, and disturbance in natural biological cycle. Many traditional medical systems have developed strategies to treat this condition. The alternative therapy most commonly used to treat diabetes is herbal therapy, which therefore become the primary focus of this review. The objective of this article is to conduct a search of the published literature on the use of Ayurvedic medicines for the treatment of diabetes mellitus. A broad search of Ayurvedic medicines showed that there was sufficient literature to support a systematic review of the use of Ayurvedic plants for the treatment of diabetes.

Phyto-chemical analysis of cyperus rotundus and its effect on ethanol treated rats
The present study was aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activity of the extract of tubers of Cyperus rotundus. It is a well known plant in Indian traditional medicine. An ethanol extract of tuber parts of Cyperus rotundus was examined for antioxidant activity. The study was carried out on equal four groups (n=3) namely as follows: group I (control group) group II (18%ethanol only), group III (18%ethanol and test drug Cyperus rotundus extract), group IV (18% ethanol and Ascorbic acid) was treated with 5ml/kg weight of body orally for 45 days. Antioxidant enzymes activity such as Lipid peroxidation was measured in the gastric tissue. Histopathological studies were carried out for ischemic injury. The serum enzyme level of AST and ALT followed a standard pattern of elevation after ethanol treatment. The extract of C.rotundus significantly reduced the triglyceride level in test animals. The results obtained in the present study indicated that C.rotundus rhizomes extract can be a potential source of natural antioxidant.

Factors affecting the thermal performance of heat pipe –a review
Heat pipes are heat transfer devices that enhances large amount of heat which works on the principle of evaporation and condensation of a working fluid. Inspite of wide application of heat pipe in microelectronics cooling system the trend of the chips performance and power utilization has been increased each year and a complete understanding of mechanism has not yet been completed even though it has the ability to operate against gravity and a greater maximum heat transport capability. This paper gives you a detailed literature review about the various parameters that affect the operational characteristics of circular heat pipe. Moreover the thermal resistance and heat transfer capability are affected by the choice of working fluid, the tilt angle, the fill ratio, thermal properties, angle of inclination and heat input.

Screeing of antimicrobial activity of the extracts from the selected marine sponges in aurora globostellata (carter) and spirastrella inconstans var. moeandrina dendy from tuticorin region
The antibacterial activity of the ethyl acetate extracts of two marine sponges collected from Tuticorin gulf of mannar region was tested against six human pathogenic bacteria and five human pathogenic fungi using the agar disk diffusion method. Bacteria cultures, Vibrio cholarae, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi , Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Klebsiella pneumonia (Gram negative bacteria), Bacillus subtilus, Staphylococcus aureus (NCIM 2079). Sponge extracts of Aurora globostellata (Carter) and Spirastrella inconstans Var. moeandrina Dendy appeared to be quite promising due to their capacity to inhibit the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and methicillin resistant strains Staphylococcus aureus and E.coli as well as a broad-spectrum activity against all the other bacteria. The highest activity was obtained for the ethyl acetate extract of Aurora globostellata (Carter) against the Gram-positive bacteria Klebsiella pnemoniae (inhibition zone 12.33±0.33 mm) and Salmonella typhi (14.00±0.57) and against C. albicans (12.66±0.66 mm), T. rubrum (12.33±0.33 mm) and Aspergillus flavus (14.33±0.33). This extract is currently undergoing further analysis to identify the active compounds. These promising results in relation with antibacterial and antifungal activity in vitro open the way for complementary investigation in order to purify and identify active molecules.

An impact of TCPS with LFC in an multi area power system using conventional controllers
The main objective of Load Frequency Control (LFC) is to regulate the power output of electric generator within an area, in response to the changes in system frequency and tie-line loading. Thus, LFC helps in maintaining the scheduled system frequency and tie-line power interchange with other areas within the prescribed limits. Most LFCs are primarily composed of an integral and PID controller. The integrator gain is set to a level that compromises between fast transient recovery and low overshoot in the dynamic response of the overall system. This type of controller is slow and does not allow the controller designer to consider the possible changes in operating condition and non-linearity in the generator unit. Moreover, it lacks in robustness. FACTS are designed to overcome the limitations of present non-reheat thermal-thermal power systems and enhance the power system stability. One of the promising FACTS devices is the Thyristor controlled phase shifter (TCPS) to alleviate this difficulty. TCPS is connected in the tie-line to self-tune the parameters of integral and PID controller. Two area system, have been considered for simulationof the proposed TCPS connected integral and PID controller .The performance of the Conventional controller, TCPS connected Integral and PID controller have beenCompared through MATLAB Simulation. The qualitative and quantitative comparisonshave been carried out for Integral, PID controllers. The dynamic of performance responses of Integral and PID controller with TCPS shows that in terms of settling .Time, peak overshoot and steady state error are greatly improved than that of without TCPS.

Advanced quantum concepts through soft computing using matlab
The behavior of electron and the nucleons are simulated through soft computing using MatLab language meant for Science and Engineering. Since the electrons and nucleons movement confined around nucleus and within the nucleus, to visualize the behavior the coordinates were taken with incremental value of 0.001 and less to visualize the behaviour. The graphical output shows the path and tendency of electron movement around the nucleus of Hydrogen atom. These curves show that the energy of electron is not constant but increases with the principal quantum number(n) and azimuthal quantum number(l).Some quantum mechanical problems have been solved and reported.

Types of cotton and their significance
Cotton is the world’s most used fibre. Cotton is number one fibre used for apparel in United States. In 1994, a survey on cotton found that 63 percent of cotton was used for apparel, 29 percent for home furnishings and 8 percent for industrial type products and exportation. Cotton comes in several types, depending on the way it is grown or processed. There is no way to the consumer to know the true quality of Egyptian cotton used in manufacture of a product. It is possible to purchase a product labeled 100% Egyptian cotton with the expectation of it being made from the very finest cotton, when in fact it could be made from lesser quality, non-ELS Egyptian cotton. Therefore, a modest attempt is made to divulge the nature, characteristics and applications of various types of cotton grown in the world and their significance.
