Assessment of sullage chemical properties treated with activated carbon from selected agrowaste
Sullage was treated using activated carbon from selected agrowastes (rice husk, corn cob and coconut husk). Agrowastes were carbonized at 600oC and chemically activated using phosphoric acid (H3PO4), and then used as adsorbents for the removal of chemical compounds: pH, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), nitrate (NO3-), phosphate (PO4-), chloride (Cl-) and sulphate (SO42-) using titration and spectrophotometer methods. Initial concentration of the chemical parameters of sullage samples showed COD to be 486.2±87 mg/l, BOD, 175.0±3.1 mg/l; pH, 7.33±0.1; Cl-, 31.0±5.5 mg/l; NO3-, 28.6±24 ppm; PO4-, 7.08±3.2 ppm and SO42-, 347.08±67.1 ppm. After treatments, COD ranged from 122.2±10 - 190.5±25 mg/l, BOD, 44.0±3.5 – 68.6.0±9.0 mg/l, pH, 7.08±0.1 - 7.18±0.1, Cl-, 17.28 - 21.13 mg/l, NO3-, 0.0 - 12.79 ppm and sulphate 117.7 - 251.7 ppm. There was significant difference (p?0.05) between the untreated and the treated sullage samples. The efficiency of the individual adsorbents in reducing the chemical parameters was of this order: ricehusk > corncob > coconut husk. In combination it was, rice husk+corncob+coconuthusk > ricehusk+corncob > corncob+coconuthusk > ricehusk+coconuthusk. High percentage reduction observed of chemical properties revealed that activated carbons from rice husk, corn cob and coconut husk can be used singly or combined for the purification of sullage.

Essentials of the right to Voluntary Return: The Case of Refugees
Voluntary return is the assisted or independent return to the country of origin, transit or another third country based on the free will of the returnee. Voluntary return is informed and unforced return of a refugee to his country of origin. Therefore, this paper is intended to deal the concept of voluntary return as a product of two main components: The right to return and the right not to be forced to return. The latter is concerned with voluntariness of repatriation. There are various pulling and pushing factors which instigate the return of refugees to their country of origin. The return of refugees and asylum seekers may be classified as voluntary repatriation, mandatory return of rejected asylum seekers who are required by law to leave, and forced return of rejected asylum seekers. It is dealt that voluntariness of returning to home country is an essential right of refugees.

Contempt of Court: The Interpretative Practice in East Gojjam Courts, Ethiopia
Administration of justice by courts requires a smooth and undistracted courtroom management. Parties to a case and any other individual in a courtroom are expected to comply with basic court demeanor standards. The concept of contempt of court is employed to represent violation of those courtroom standards set by the law. Contempt of court is criminally punishable under the Ethiopian Revised Criminal Code and Civil Procedure Code. Apart from the issue on how to make a balance between the right to free speech on the one hand and the right to protect the administration of justice on the other, contempt cases give rise to a natural justice objection against summary proceedings. This research aimed to examine the Ethiopian law on contempt of court vis a vis the practice of five purposively selected woreda courts in East Gojjam zone in relation to crime of contempt of court. The researcher employed a qualitative and non-doctrinal research approach. Judges, public prosecutors and attorneys were participants of the research. Contempt of court is found to virtually defy a precise definition because of the infinite number of ways in which the administration of justice can be prejudiced or abused. Courts use a summary procedure in which the contemnor may be convicted and sentenced for the contempt as it occurs. Despite its importance in regulating court room manners, the law on contempt of court is found to have impact upon the constitutional rights of the accused. Detailed courtroom management manual and mechanisms for respecting the right to be heard of the accused shall be crafted to limit discretionary powers of courts and protect due process rights of persons accused with contempt of court.

Mobility of human capital in middle management- Autoparts company
Mexico has one of the highest job desertion rates in Latin America and worldwide. This desertion causes that the companies that suffer from it to experience a decrease in workforce and therefore, that the accomplishment of their organizational objectives is not achieved. This situation is exacerbated when those who desert are those who command the middle management of the companies. Here are examined some of the most representative internal and external factors that cause talent instability in a company that is part of an auto parts manufacturer industrial group in the municipality of Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico; identifying the causes that led to medium- or long-term abandonment of it. Strategies to detect and track this talent mobility are also evaluated.

Paracelsus’ experimental design as the precursor of test-tube babies and in-vitro fertilization: Its afrocentric relevance beyond the fabrics of western ethics
Several historians of science have tried to undermine experiments conducted before and during the Renaissance period. They tend to suggest that some such experiments were not, strictly speaking, scientific experiments. The historians often reduce them to mere trial and error trifles within the occult hermitic or magical tradition. But this paper takes exception to this sort of historical interpretation of scientific experiments conducted within the Renaissance milieu. A milieu deeply rooted in thoroughgoing humanism. The central claim of this paper is that there is no break between the sorts of laboratory experiments conducted in the Renaissance period and those conducted in the modern and contemporary periods. The basic aim, here, is to analyse the experimental design of Paracelsus and re-interpret it in the light of contemporary experimental design in biomedical researches. As it stands, the Paracelsian experimental design holds a lot of ingenuity behind it and showcases Paracelsus as a true mechanistic/Promethean man of experiment. Rather than see Paracelsus as a mere non-interventionist hermitic/alchemical man of nature, one needs to see him as a model experimentalist of all times whose relevance overreaches procreation demand in Africa. The method adopted here is principally that of textual analysis, tinged with the historiographical approach of reconstruction.

The issue of dowry against dualism: written law and customary law In Eastern of the Repubuplic Democratic of Congo.(Kinshasa).s
The dowry, this customary institution, was certainly misunderstood by the authors of the written law. The interpretations flow from it and the decision to integrate it or not into positive law falls under the sovereignty of each State. However, it is asked to those who made a condition of the marriage (1), to be able to control overflows of speculation to avoid falling through the tarification. Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa), it is mainly about goats, cows in number apparently exaggerated. The bill presented by the family-in-law to their future son-in-law is often inflated as marriage takes a long time to come to fruition and this state of affairs discourages many marriage candidates. Hence the phenomenon of ''Yaka tovanda'' (come and stay together.) Failing the dowry or dragging, the divorce quickly arrived.1This is the case in the DRC: Family Code, Law No. 16/008 of 15 July 2016 amending and supplementing Law No. 87-010 of 1 August 1987 on the Family Code. The future spouse and his family must agree with the parents of the future wife of a gift of property and / or money that constitute the dowry for the benefit of the parents of the future wife. Marriage can only be celebrated if the dowry has actually been

Beyond Surface Grandiloquence: The Inaugural Addresses of Presidents J. F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon
The desire for political power leads people into politics. Many people come to power in order to influence the formulation and implementation of economic and political ideas which they believe will solve the problems bedeviling their nations. In providing political leadership, use of language is of utmost importance because it facilitates the execution of many political actions. This paper discusses political discourse by examining the inaugural addresses of Presidents J. F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon. Inaugurals usually point towards the policy directions of newly inaugurated leaders. The position of the United States of America as a very strong political and economic power makes the speeches of its president incontrovertibly significant. This paper aims at examining the rhetorical strategies of the two presidents whose ideologies are anything but identical.
