Effect of Temperature on the Ion- Solvent Interaction of Cerium Chloride with Aqueous Formic Acid by Ultrasonic Measurement
Ultrasonic velocity and density have been determined in cerium chloride and aqueous formic acid at 30oC,35oC and40oC. Different acoustic parameters were calculated using measured value of ultrasonic velocity and density at these three temperatures. These data provide useful information about change in interaction at different temperatures. The main target of this paper is to highlight the type and extent of molecular interaction between component molecules and to reflect effect of on them.

Effects of use of ICT: students’ perception at higher education level
This study was conducted to investigate the perceptions of male and female students about effects of use of Information and Communication Technology. The research study was a descriptive in its nature. The targeted population was the male and female students of the public sector universities. The purposive sampling technique was used to gather data from the faculty of social sciences of two public sector universities. Data were collected by administering a questionnaire that based on Likert- five point scales. The data were tabulated, analyzed and interpreted. The Chi Square and Mean score were applied to analyze the data. Present study showed the results that Role of Information Communication and Technology is very important to improve learning. Both type of respondents agreed that ICT is an agent of change. Information and Communication Technology helps to integrate the learning and technology. Information and Communication Technology enhances communication ability in students.

Enhancing the Load ability of Congested Power Systems’ Transmission Lines Using FACTS Technology
Congestion in the power system transmission network has been a major constraint towards making active power available to the consumers. One of the conventional and long term methods but capital intensive to alleviating this problem is by adding new, expanding or reinforcing existing transmission facility. In this work, an interim, short term and cost effective measure – the use of TCSC and SVC in enhancing loadability of congested power transmission line was presented. The Nigerian Interconnected Power System – 330 kV bus power transmission network was used as a baseline and NEPLAN – a power system software was used to run load flow analysis on the network in four stages: a baseline load flow analysis on the network to identify areas of constraints, a load flow analysis with TCSC located in-between optimal nodes, load flow analysis with SVC located at optimal nodes and then, a load flow analysis in the presence of TCSC and SVC on the network. The impact of these activities were investigated and the results showed that under baseline condition, low voltage violations occurred at Gombe, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi, Maiduguri, Makurdi, and Sokoto bus stations with percentage bus voltage of 65.77%, 72.83%, 79.96%, 62.29%, 89.63%, 65.37%, 79.46%, and 89.07% respectively; well below the reference percentage bus voltage profile of 90%. The combined services of TCSC and SVC as proposed, remedied the violations with a corresponding percentage bus voltages of 94.83%, 99.50%, 96.84%, 99.50%, 99.09%, 94.55%, 95.48%, and 99.50% respectively. With the presence of TCSC & SVC, total active power loss on the network was reduced from 108.76MW to 59.18MW (46%), and total reactive power loss, from 931.19MVar to 505.92Mvar (46%). Loadability was greatly enhanced on the lines with TCSC and the neighboring lines. For instance, in Makurdi-Jos line, there was active power increase from 212.60MW to 300.61MW, creating about 41% capacity margin; and Kaduna-Jos line, from 45.50MW to 132.97MW, about 195% capacity margin. The overall impact is in the network is that overloaded and congested lines were greatly relieved.

Explore the relationship between strategy use and ESP reading test performance of two university majors (humanities VS. science)
This paper focuses on exploring the relationship between strategy use and ESP reading test performance of two university majors (humanities VS. science). To fulfill the purpose of the study, 240 intermediate students were selected out of a population pool of 360 ESP students studying in three universities in Iran, Esfahan based on their performance on Oxford Placement Test. After 5 sessions of teaching and practicing strategies a multiple choice reading comprehension plus a cognitive and metacognitive questionnaire were given to experimental groups. Pearson product moment correlations and t-test was used. The results showed the positive effect of using strategy on ESP reading comprehension test performance. Regarding major, science groups outperformed humanities. The findings have significant implications for ESP learners, teachers and material developers.

Exploring the role of brand image in explaining consumer shopping behavior of counterfeits
Nowadays in many countries, demand for counterfeit branded products increased and this event makes the study of determinants of consumers counterfeit branded products purchase behavior more worthwhile than ever before. The purpose of this paper was examining the impact of perceived brand image on consumer purchase intention of counterfeits such as clothes and shoes in the context of non-deceptive counterfeiting. The explanatory construct in this study include a brand image (Brand Personality, Perceived product attributes, Perceived benefits). This study conducted in Tehran, Iran. The sample size was 188 consumers in Tehran. The results indicated two of three dimensions of the brand image constructs appear to be significantly influential to consumers purchase intention of counterfeit branded products. The reliability of all adopted scales and validity of questions measured and discussed by conducted Cronbach Alpha coefficient and content validity.

Factors Affecting Students Participation in Extra-curricular
Extracurricular activity is a complementary of the requirement and interest in the student academic development. Extracurricular learning styles can be implemented in the form of informal where it can provide effective learning experiences to the students. In extracurricular development, every activity has its own goals and interests that can influence the students to participate in the particular activities. Nowadays, students are more likely to engage or spending their time with unbeneficial activities or isolate themselves in the virtual world. Several studies have been conducted and found that there are factors influence or prevent the students from participating in the extracurricular activities they intended to. These factors have been categorical into three main constraints; structural constraints, intrapersonal constraints, and interpersonal constraints. These main constraints referred to many factors that can influence student participation in extracurricular activities.

Fuzzy Logic Controller for Solar Reconfigurable Converter Fed BLDC Drive
This paper introduces a new converter called solar reconfigurable converter (SRC) for PMBLDC drive with photovoltaic (PV)-battery application. The basic concept of the SRC is to use a single power conversion system to perform different operation modes such as PV to BLDC drive (dc to ac), PV to battery (dc to dc), battery to BLDC drive (dc to ac), and battery/PV to BLDC drive (dc to ac) for solar PV systems with energy storage. For PMBLDC drive FUZZY LOGIC controller is used to control the motor drive in closed loop. A MPPT technique is also used in DC-DC operation to extract the maximum power from the PV pannel to the battery. In this paper, along the two types of MPPT technique, Incremental conductance algorithm is used for DC/DC operation. PI current controller is used for DC/DC operation(battery charging). This converter solution is appealing for PV-battery application, because it minimizes the number of conversion stages, thereby improving efficiency and reducing cost, weight, and volume. In this paper simulation result can be done using matlab software.

Health Risk Assessment of Some Heavy Metals in Groundwater Resource in Warri Metropolis
Health risk assessment of three heavy metals (Pb, Cd and Cr) in groundwater resource in warri metropolis was confirmed by this research. Twenty (20) hand dug well water were analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. Results showed that Lead ranged in concentration from 0-0.04mg/l. Cadmium ranged from 0-0.040 mg/l. Chromium concentrations ranged from 0-0.004mg/l. The combined hazard index (HI) values via ingestion of water were greater than unity and may poses health risk from oral exposure. Use of concrete ring to protect the dug wells are strongly recommended to avoid storm waters and other lecheates from dumpsites and other industrial waste.

Impact of gender bias on organizational commitment: an empirical study of glass ceiling practices in corporate sector of Pakistan
The Glass ceiling practices in the corporate sector have been a subject of concern in the industry and in the policy-making quarters of the government. Present government legal framework does not have enough hold to curb on local glass ceiling practices effectively. There is a need to eliminate glass-ceiling practices in the corporate sector in order to keep female employees motivated. It will create congenial working environment and will lead to improvement in female employee’s attitude, commitment and ownership towards their work engagements in the organization. Women employees need to be recognized and given equal participation in each and every level of the organization. The objective of the study is to map environment of glass ceiling practices and to highlight female employees’ harassment, discrimination and carrier deterrence practices. The research work is done through survey using a questionnaire for information and data collection about the glass ceiling practices in the local industry. Information and data was collected using simple random sampling technique. The data was collected from Punjab. Questionnaire is based on 8 Glass Ceiling and Gender Discrimination constructs consisting of total 24 questionnaire statements.
