A Correlational Analysis in High-Stakes Tests: The Effect of Gender
Relatively few studies in foreign language testing have been conducted on differences between males and females' performance on various sub-tests of the Iranian National University Entrance Exam (INUEE). The present study seeks to explore gender effect on correlation in various sub-tests of the INUEE. To explore correlation coefficient for a group of 1000 students who participated in INUEE, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient formula was employed. The outcomes of a statistical analysis denoted that there is a distinction between the functions of different sub-tests of the INUEE for female and male test-takers.

The market anomalies in capital market management: an evaluation on day of the week effect
In this study including the literature that has been made so far about the anomaly concept used to explain every situation which is against the efficient market hypothesis, and "Days of the week Effect" which is among the periodical anomaly types, additionally, the efficient market hypothesis and shortly the anomaly types take place. In the end of the study: it has been determined that the average daily incomes in the beginning of the week, and at the end of the week shows difference according to the other days of the week, and while the incomes on Mondays, which is the first day of the week, tend to be negative , the incomes on Fridays, which is the last day of the week, tend to be positive , and according to the result that appears, it has been understood that Mondays and Tuesdays are the highest and the lowest risky days and the observed high and positive incomes on Fridays shows statistically meaningfulness. Possible reasons that are shown to this result are many factors such as the exchange applications of weekend effect, the behaviors of the individual investors, the news given by the firms on Fridays, profit distribution days and the firm size effect.

An examination of pre-service English language teachers’ level of computer self-efficacy
This study examines the level of computer self-efficacy among English language pre-service teachers at Umm Alqara University in Saudi Arabia. Data were collected through self-reported ratings on a 5-point Likert-type scale. “Computer Self Efficacy Scale and demographic information form were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics (means, standard deviations, and percentages), and independent t-test were used. The results of this study revealed that pre-service English teachers had a high level of computer self-efficacy with Mean score (M=3.70) and std. Deviation (SD=0.35). Also, the findings indicated that pre-service English teacher males’ scores are significantly higher than that of the females. In order to increase the level of self-efficacy, training programs should be provided to English language pre-service teachers during their professional development.

A Study on urbanization and waste management in Iran
Urbanization Growth in the world and our country has been reached to the extent that in most of countries amongst our country nearly 70 percent of people live in cities and this matter make urban managers determined to study the urban issues with planning and providence. Attention to environmental and human health, and all creatures on earth is one of fundamental principles in survival and life of God given gifts that are widely available to us, environment, pollution control including solid waste forms an important part of this task that according to the principles and norms of economic health is allocated special place in new Science and Technology. Attention to community health and preventive aspects of health compliance. Garbage management is concerned with managing garbage separately that is not mixing up the dry waste with the wet, not collecting the recyclable and non-recyclable together this could lead to many problems. A very simple example is plastic bags if present in the waste used for composting would cause a lot of problems as it would not turn into soil but would remain there for years. This study is intended to have Look at Waste Management in Iran.

Responsivity of Silicon Photodiodes Light & Dark Current under Influence of Different Magnetic Flux Intensity and Temperature
Responsivity of silicon photodiodes was measured for different values of temperatures and magnetic field in light and darkens. Group of silicon photodiodes was studied. The surface layer of these diodes was a thin metal silicide surface layer. As the temperature decreases the increase in current is consistent the theoretical relation. These results are particularly important for the measurement of current in extreme cooling. One has studied the effect of cooling on the photodiodes current in the presence of a magnetic field. A recognized change has been observed. The current is observed to increase as the magnetic flux density increase, which is again is conformity with the theoretical relation.

Synovial sarcoma of the limbs (about 20 cases)
Evaluate retrospectively, in a homogeneous series of patients with synovial sarcoma of the limbs, the different steps of the management of this disease, the diagnosis and the therapeutic difficulties. This is a retrospective study of 20 cases of synovial sarcoma of the limbs treated in orthopedic surgery department at Ibn Sina university hospital and in the National Institute of Oncology Rabat, between January 2000 and December 2012. 20 cases of synovial sarcoma of the limbs were collected of which 12 were localized in the lower limb and 8 localized in the upper limb. The mean age was 45 years with a male predominance. The patients consulted after an average period of 18 months and tumoral syndrome was the constant reason for consultation. All the patients were treated surgically, except the 4 cases with lung metastases. After an average follow-up of 48 months, 10 patients are alive, 5 died and 5 are lost of view. Because of their rarity, the diversity of their histological types and their localization, synovial sarcoma presents problems at every stage of their management. Identification of specific chromosomal translocations is a great advantage in their diagnosis. Multidisciplinary approach is mandatory in their management.

Corrosion Fatigue Strength under the Effect of Shot Peening Treatment of 6063-T6 Al-alloy
Evaluation of 20 min. shot peening surface treatment on fatigue strength of 6063-T6 Al allay is presented under 3.5% NaCl solution from one day, one week and one month under room temperature and stress ratio R= -1. The results show that the shot peening has strong effect on the fatigue strength at 107 cycles for corroded specimens. In case of shot peening ,only 17.5% loss in fatigue strength even after submerging for one week compared with 60% of the fatigue strength was reduced in case of un shotted specimen . But for one month pre – corroded specimens, the fatigue strength was reduced by 64% in corrosion environment while shot peening improved the above reduction to be about 44%.

Textural characteristic variation of beach sediments from mandapam to Valinokkam, Ramanathapuram District, south east coast of India
The aim of the study is to determine the morphodynamic changes based on beach profile, and grain size distribution of sediments along the beaches between Mandapam to Valinokkam of Ramanathapuram district southern Tamilnadu. Morphodynamic condition and changes along the coastal length of 50km are recorded, and the granulometric study is done by dry sieving methods. Two seasonal both summer and winter sediment's samples were collected from the four main geomorphologic units (water level, slope, berm, and dune) during field observation periods. Grain characteristics are estimated by using GRADISTAT software, and the results are revealed. The sediments are mainly of course to fine grained, moderately sorted to poorly sorted, nearly-symmetrical skewed to find skewed, and leptokurtic to mesokurtic in nature. The majority of the sediment shows the bimodal nature of the interrelation ship of various parameters in sediment having the dominance of course to fine sand. Grain size characteristics varied from beach orientation foreshore, slope and wave action. The study area shows that sediment environment in high wave action compared to Ramanathapuram district in Mandapam to Valinokkam beaches were under erosion or deposition with a strong winnowing process.

Effect of leadership paradigms on customer service delivery in the local public sector in Kenya
This study examined the effect of transactional and transformational leadership paradigms on customer service delivery in local authorities in the Western region of Kenya. This was based on the recognition of the role played by local authorities namely county, municipal and town councils in offering essential services to citizens at the grass root level of governance. Using a co-relational research design, data was collected from 322 employees of these entities using questionnaires. It was analysed descriptively using frequencies and percentages and inferentially using Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation test. The study found that both transformational and transactional leadership approaches had a positive and significant influence on customer service delivery. However, the transformational leadership approach had a greater effect on customer service delivery than the transactional leadership approach. The study recommends that the successors of the local authorities, that is county governments, should utilize these approaches in managing their operations in order for them to for accrue benefits to themselves and the citizens in their jurisdiction.
