Determinants of Initial public offerings (IPOs)
This paper interacts to explain ownership structure, post promoters holdings and Ex-ante information at the level of underpricing in the Indian primary market. The study is based on IPO that listed at Bombay stock exchange given that (April-1999 to Dec-2012). Multiple linear regressions are used to distinguish the relationship between various independent variables with the dependent variable, i.e. level of underpricing. Therefore, we used ordered probit regression to find the exact relationship of pricing mechanism (book build pricing mechanism) with the other variables. The outcomes reveal that, Firm’s age, book build pricing mechanism, ownership structure, retail subscriptions & market capitalization explained the degree of underpricing, These findings were more important to the retail and institutional investors, who likely to buy IPOs in the Indian primary market.

Analysis and evaluating of quality of Tehran university cohesive training systems
The aim of present research is to determine and prioritize criteria and scales of evaluating cohesive training systems. Present paper attempts to provide a paradigm for better devising of universities' cohesive training systems by identifying such scales. In terms of its aim, this research is an applied one and in terms of data collection method, it is descriptive and survey one. Its population includes elite training experts in the colleges and institutes affiliated to University of Tehran. It attempts to study domestic and foreign papers and to identify criteria and scales for evaluating cohesive training systems. Library method is used to gather information on theoretical basics, literature and to identify aspects and scales. Identified aspects include: content, flexibility, organizational structure, usage convenience, usage services and apparent form. By using the experts opinions, importance ratio of each one of scales and aspects is determined. Also for evaluating the status of this scales in golestan system of Tehran university a questionnaire is compiled. that its admissibility and permanence is confirmed. Then the questionnaire in a sample (of our case) is distributed. In data analysis, T-test: statistical test is used to examine the status of scales and aspects. The results of this test indicated that the organizational structure scales and usage convenience have middle status, the status of flexibility, usage services and apparent form is undesirable, and the content have a desirable status.

Analysis of Natural Radionuclides in Soil in the Northern and central Iraq
Naturally occurring radionuclides of terrestrial origin (also called primordial radionuclides) are present in various degrees in all media in the environment, which includes the human body itself. Their concentrations in the environment decrease continually by decaying. In this study, the specific activities of different natural radionuclides were determined by using gamma-ray spectrometry. The analysis of two radionuclides (214Bi, 234m Pa) that belong to the 238U series and one radionuclide 228Ac belonging to the 232Th series, 40K, 226Ra, and 137Cs, was done for soil samples obtained from different locations in Iraq, which include factories, hospitals, and other facilities. The analysis of radionuclides measurement was done by using the high purity Germanium (HPGe) detector coupled with a computer-based high-resolution multichannel analyzer. The results showed that the average specific activities of 228Ac in sample 6, 214Bi, 234m Pa, and 226Ra in sample 2, 40K in sample 10, and 137Cs in sample 21 were higher than other samples. However, the activity concentrations of the analyzed radionuclides were very low in most samples.

Vocabulary learning during reading: A comparison of a word-based strategy versus a text-based strategy
The present study is an attempt to provide evidence for the Self-Teaching Hypothesis according to which phonological recoding supports learners’ achieving word recognition skills and keeping in mind the connections amongst pronunciation, spelling, and meaning of new words in reading. For this purpose, 46 Iranian EFL learners (2 classes of 12 to 15 years old) were randomly selected. These learners were given 6 to 8 sentence long texts and in each text an unknown vocabulary item was underlined and repeated 2 times. Participants in the experimental condition were asked to read the text silently but the underlined word aloud and those in the control condition were asked to read the text (including the new words) silently. After this experiment learners were tested on text recall, spelling, and meaning of new words. The results show significant gains for the experimental group on spelling and meaning of new words. Pedagogical implications of this finding will be discussed at the end.

Histological alteration in ovary of the freshwater prawn, Macrobrachium kistensis exposed to cuprous oxide
Among the various biomarkers, the histological analysis of different organs may indicate the biological responses to an unfavorable situation, because often the prolongs exposure of the organism to toxic agents does not provoke death directly, but it affects the structure and function of organs of freshwater prawn, Macrobrachium kistensis. The experimental prawn treated with lethal concentration (LC50value) 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours and sublethal concentration (1/10th of LC50 of 48 hr) for 7, 14 and 21 days of cuprous oxide shows many histological changes in ovary. Histological observations of ovary following exposure cuprous oxide showed destruction of epithelial layer, degeration of oocytes, disorganization of nucleus, vacuolization at periphery, rupturing of follicular epithelium, shrinkage in ooplasmic material and damage of ovarian structure was observed after exposed to lethal and sublethal concentration.

Culturally responsive teaching: a missing element of teacher education in Pakistan
Culturally responsive teaching is usually advocated for making teaching effective and to let students from diverse background feel comfortable. The study is aimed to explore to what extent in-service teachers observe culturally responsive teaching in their professional practices, to what extent in-service teacher training opportunities are available regarding culturally responsive teaching and to what extent existing teacher education programs address these aspects. The study ravels that, in Pakistan, the element of culturally responsive teaching is missing both from the curriculum of teacher education programs and education systems as a whole. Teachers encounter cultural diversity in their classrooms but lack of knowledge about students’ cultures and culturally responsive teaching cause hindrances to teach children from diverse back ground more appropriately. Non-availability of teacher training opportunities regarding culturally responsive teaching further undermines their professional responsibilities. This study has made some recommendations to prepare prospective teachers ready to teach in culturally responsive classrooms.

Morphological study of the formative pattern of the circle of Willis
Brain is a highly vascular organ and receives about 15% of cardiac output. The Circle of Willis (CoW) or Circulus arteriosus is a ring-like arterial structure located at the base of the brain. The circle of Willis has its greatest significance in collateral circulations of the brain specially in old people who may have reduced brain blood supply due to senile arteriosclerosis. Materials and methods: The study was therefore conducted on 20 brains obtained during routine anatomical dissection in the department of Anatomy. The formative pattern of the circle of Willi’s external diameters of internal carotid arteries were measured, length of the anterior communicating was also recorded. Results: Out of twenty specimens studied, 8 specimens showed variations in the formative pattern of circle of Willis. Like The basilar artery continued as Left posterior cerebral artery, Right posterior cerebral artery arising was from right internal carotid artery with Bilateral absence of Posterior communicating artery , right posterior cerebral artery was arising from Right internal carotid artery. Bilateral fetal type of Posterior cerebral arteries. A long anterior communicating artery of about one cm (10mm) was also observed in one of the cases. Though variations of the arteries at the base of the brain are common, it is necessary to be aware of all the variations as they may breed problems in the blood flow to the brain and may cause confusions in radiological procedures.

Efficiency of some non ionic surfactants based on tolyl triazole as corrosion inhibitors for oil tubing steel during production process
This work was aimed to prepare four non ionic surfactants based on tolyl triazole (I, II, III and IV), and evaluate their efficiency as corrosion inhibitors for X – 65 type carbon steel in deep oil well formation using potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and weight loss measurements. The experimental results showed that these inhibitors revealed a very good corrosion inhibition even at low concentrations. It was found that, the adsorption ability of the surfactant molecules on carbon steel surface increased with the increase of both ethylene oxide units and molecular size. Critical micelle concentration (cmc) represents the key factor for the selected surfactants. Potentiodynamic polarization curves indicate that the inhibitors under investigation act as mixed type i.e., promoting retardation of both anodic and cathodic discharge reactions. Also, EIS data showed that both (I %) and charge transfer resistance (Rt) are increased where as electrochemical double layer resistance (Cdl) is decreased. Finally, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive X- rays analysis (EDX) were used to study the nature of the protected film formed on carbon surface.

Car black box with speed control in desired areas for Collision avoidance
This paper presents an advanced step to the concept of car black-box in developing a comprehensive vehicle safety system which would not only record the video and audio, but also try to prevent a possible collision by limiting the speed of the vehicle in accident-prone areas. In case of an accident, the time and location (co-ordinates) is sent through GSM to a preset number for immediate rescue and treatment of accident, also recorded data can be used for forensics which would reveal law enforcement authority about the failure that caused accident, and give manufacturer an idea for improvement. So the motto is to develop an embedded integrated system consisting of microcontroller, power supply unit, sensors, memory, motor driver unit and GPS/GSM modem.
