An investigation of timing abilities in income funds of Pakistan
This paper emphasizes on the measurement of mutual fund performance and timing abilities of income fund managers in Pakistan. To analyze the income fund performance Treynor measure is used which assumes that fund managers possess diversified portfolios. Timing abilities are ascertained by using Treynor and Mazuay measure and data for five years ranging from July 2009 to June 2014 is used and it consists of 30 income funds. Results showed that 23 of the total income funds had positive treynor values which indicate good performance and also an indicator of better diversification. Treynor and Mazuay measure also had a better indication of timing abilities as 2/3rd of the managers performed well in this regard.

An Investigation of Warner & Warner's Translation of Figure Of Speech in Shahnameh: The Story of the Seven Stages of Esfandyar in Focus
Translation of literary texts in general and poetry in particular as a distinctive type of translation has been of great importance since the early appearance of translations. On the one hand, the difficulty of translating the metrical pattern and on the other hand the nature of poetry itself has turned the poetry translation a very controversial issue and there have been done many investigations on its different aspects. When it comes to rendering the very spirit of masterpieces like Shahnameh, poetry translation becomes so much trickier. This study aimed to analyze the story of The Seven Stages of Esfandyar in Shahnameh in terms of figures of speech to realize that how the figures of speech are transferred or lost in the English translation of Shahnameh. To this end, First 10 verses of the story of The Seven Stages of Esfandyar which were selected according to the degree of frequency of figures of speech and also the translation of the selected verses were studied, each of them were analyzed separately by identifying figures of speech. Then the type and number of figures of speech in the source text were compared with those of the target text. The findings indicated that there was about 50% loss in Warner & Warner's Translation of Figures of speech in the selected verses of the story of the seven stages of Esfandiyar in Shahnameh.

Application of Integrated Geophysical methods to select sites of high Groundwater in the Pru District of the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.
Groundwater has been identified as the best source of rural water supply because it has eliminated the problem of water borne diseases which have affected communities in the Pru District in the Brong Ahafo Region for some years. An adequate and sustainable source of groundwater can be obtained by geophysical methods which ensure that potable and safe drinking water is available for the entire population. Integrated geophysical methods involving Electromagnetic and Electrical resistivity methods have been carried out to delineate groundwater potential and locate drilling sites for boreholes in the District. The Electromagnetic profiling method was used for reconnaissance survey to identify anomaly conductive spots for further investigation using the Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) technique. The Schlumberger array was carried out for the VES investigation. Interpretation of the VES data revealed a general pattern of a three layered earth structure, namely topsoil, saturated sandy/ lateritic clay and weathered/ fractured/ fresh basement rocks. The presence of aquifer units included the weathered zones and the fractured basement. These units are found at a depth ranging between 27.0 and 69.5 m.

Assessment of Quality of Life among Elderly in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, India using WHOQOL-BREF
The concept of quality of life is very broad and dynamic. We can find several definitions for this term in literature, but all of them take physical, cultural, social and environmental conditions into consideration (C.S. Peranambuco et al. 2012). World Health Organization (WHO) defines quality of life as an individual’s perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns. It is a broad concept incorporating an individual’s physical health, psychological state, level of independence, social relationships, personal beliefs and relationship with the environmental conditions (WHO 1998).

Biocoordination, spectral characterization, molecular modeling and antimicrobial activity of Zr (iv), In(iii) Tl (iii), and Th (iv) complexes using biological active tetracycline and oxime as mixed ligands
The new complexes of novel ligand with Zr (IV), In(III) Tl (III), and Th (IV) have been synthesized. These complexes were then characterized by melting point, magnetic studies and spectroscopic techniques involving infrared spectra (IR), UV–Vis, 1H NMR. C, H, N and halogen elemental analysis and thermal behavior of complexes also investigated. The results suggested that the molar ratio for all complexes is 1:2 where ligand acts as a bidentate via one of the oxygen atoms of the hydroxyl group tetracycline and oxime .through the Eyring parameters were calculated from thermo gravimetric (TGA) and differential thermo gravimetric (DTG) curves, using Coats–Redfern (CR). The cell dimensions were found by X-ray powder pattern and molecular structure were optimized by Chem Office Ultra-11 software programme.

Chemical analysis of Citrullus lanatus seed oil obtained from Southern Nigeria
Nigeria is one of the countries of the world with a variety of oil seeds, therefore the potential of Nigeria leading Africa, and the world at large, in the area of seeds oil production was examined by evaluating the oil yield and physicochemical qualities of oil extracted from Citrullus lanatus from the southern region of the country. The lipid content of Citrullus lanatus seeds was found to be 57.26%. The iodine, saponification, acid, free fatty acid, peroxide, specific gravity, refractive index and pH, were analysed using standard procedures and values were found to be 114.94g I2/100g, 220.19 mgKOH/g, 7.09 mgKOH/g, 4.512%, 20.00 meq/kg, 0.913, 1.35, and 4.45 respectively. The oil contains five main fatty acids: palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic are linolenic acids, but the most abundant fatty acid is linoleic with a value of 64.15% which is used industrially as a drying agent in gloss paint. Due to their high oil yield and abundance, oils from Citrullus lanatus seeds may be considered as Nigeria potential asset for soap production and other industrial applications.

Classification trees using new criteria for two or more categories
Different node splitting criteria are available for the construction of classification and regression trees. Two of these criteria i.e. Gini and Twoing criterion have been implemented in CART (Salford systems, 1995), Entropy function in C4.5 (Quinlan, 1993) etc. These criteria provide similar results especially for the small number of categories but not for large. To overcome this problem, we proposed a new node splitting method for the construction of classification trees. The performance of the new method is compared with conventional methods using two real life datasets and it is observed that the new method gives better results in terms of misclassification and deviance.

Compatibility of Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company's (ITM Co.) Tractors with Locally Designed and Constructed tillage and planting equipment From the Farmers' Point of view
Compatibility of implements with tractors has direct impact on quality of work (planting and tillage). To determine the degree of compatibility, data were collected from 310 tractor users throughout Kurdistan, West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Kermanshah and Hamadan provinces in Iran by random sampling method using Cochran’s formula. Each questionnaire sheet had six check boxes indicating different levels of satisfaction (excellent, very good, good, moderate, weak and very weak) with the values of 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1, respectively. Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.67 obtained for the questionnaires. The results showed that the slope of land had significantly negative effect on compatibility of tractors with the equipment. Also tillage and planting equipment were less compatible with MF240 tractor. MF285 tractor was incompatible with all the equipment used. On the other hand, MF399, because of its high traction capacity, observed to be the most compatible with equipment. Results also showed that the farmers' education had direct impact on compatibility between tractor and implements. Providing the farmers with more knowledge about the compatibility factors, draft and implement adjustments through CDs and manuals as well as short training courses may help to overcome tractor-implement incompatibility problems.
