Evaluation of Serum Zinc Level in Oral Lichen Planus, a Case Control Study
Lichen planus is a chronic inflammatory immunologic-based disease involving skin and mucosa. Many etiologic factors are deliberated regarding the disease; however, the disorders of immune system and the role of cytotoxic T-lymphocytes and monocytes are more highlighted. Zinc is an imperative element for the growth of epithelium and its deficiency induces the cytotoxic activity of T-helper2 cells which seems to be associated with lichen planus. This study aimed to evaluate the levels of serum zinc in oral lichen planus (OLP) and compares it with the healthy control group to find out any feasible inference. A total of 20 patients with oral lichen planus and 20 healthy individuals as the control group were recruited in this descriptive-comparative study. All the participants were selected from the referees to the department of oral medicine, school of dentistry, Shiraz University of medical sciences. Serum zinc level was examined for all the individuals with biochemistry method with LTA kit [LTA. S.r.L-S.U-Via Milallo, 15/f-20060 Bassero (Milano) Italia]. Data were analyzed by adopting the t test and chi square tests through SPSS 17 statistical software. The mean age of patients with OLP and the healthy control group was 45.4 and 30.9 years respectively. The mean serum zinc levels in the oral lichen planus groups and control groups were 92.49 , 84.94 ?g/dl respectively. The difference was not statistically significant (p> 0.05). Based on our results, it does not seem the serum zinc level relate to oral lichen planus.

Optimization of Energy Consumption in Peach Fridges by Dea Approach (Case Study: Mazandaran Province, Iran)
This study utilizes a data envelopment analysis approach to survey the technical and scale efficiencies of peach fridges with respect to energy consumption conservation of products in Mazandaran province of Iran. The study also helps to recognize the wasteful uses of energy by incompetent units and to establish the optimum level of energy from different inputs. Data used in this study were collected from 18 peach fridges in Mazandaran province, Iran. The results showed that, the total energy of 3363344 MJ/1000kg capacity was consumed for peach fridges and about 23% of peach fridges were found to be technically efficient and the technical, pure technical and scale efficiency scores of units were found to be 0.78, 0.86 and 0.90, respectively. The results also expressed that on average, a potential 645762 MJ/1000kg capacity (about 19.2%) reduction in total energy input could be acceded provided all units operated efficiently, assuming no other constraints on this adjustment.

Recovery of Lead and Nickel from Rinsing Water of Electroplating Industries
In this study, a hydrometallurgical treatment for valuable metals recovery from rinsing water of electroplating industries is reported. This water contains high contents of Copper, Nickel, Lead, Zinc and Chromium ions. Copper is recovered by leaching in hydrochloric acid solution. The effects of acid concentration, temperature and treatment time were investigated. Lead and Nickel are removed by adsorption onto activated carbon from artificial binary-component aqueous solutions. The effects of pH, time, temperature, and amount of adsorbent were investigated. Maximum Lead adsorption was obtained at pH 5.5-6 and 80?C for 30 min., while for Nickel at pH 7 and room temperature for 60 min.

Also, in recent decades, IT is upheld with almost all aspects of our lives, especially professional working life. The use of information technology in various fields, and the rapid growth of the use of computers in organizations to assess and acceptance and rejection of IT in organizations has particular significance so that IT's role in achieving an organization's strategic development objectives has been discussed. The research method used in this research is descriptive survey and the type of applied research. The statistic population, are experts in the field of information technology and sampling in this study was non-random sampling (100 experts from the organization). Because of the variable quality of the Friedman ANOVA test was used to test hypotheses and SPSS software was used for data analysis. In general, here we have tried to evaluate the impact of IT organizational maturity and organizational maturity model for assessing the success or failure of the organization's IT group. Reliability and internal consistency reliability test was 0/731. And the results suggest that organizational maturity of the success and failure of information technology is impressive.

Analysis of Shifts in Translating English Modal Auxiliaries into Persian: A Corpus-based Study
Both English and Persian languages represent modality through auxiliary verbs, besides other means. The grammar systems of both languages include epistemic and root modality with some sort of similarities; however, they do not possess a one-to-one correspondence of modal auxiliaries, as a mean of conveying modality. Thus, translational shift is applied in many cases during the process of translating. This study is an analysis of such shifts in a parallel text, which consists of Jane Eyre, a novel by Charlotte Bronte (1955), and its Persian translation by Bahrami-harran (1998). The English and Persian modal auxiliaries are described and classified based on Palmer’s (2001) model. The aim of this study is to detect different types of shifts based on Catford’s classification in the translated text. To do so, one hundred and fifty sentences with modal auxiliaries were randomly selected from the source text and compared with the equivalents provided by the translator. Then, different types of shifts, based on Catford's, were identified and classified. The findings, descriptively suggesting how to translate modal auxiliaries from English into Persian, may have implications for linguists, translation researchers, and especially students of translation studies.

Evaluation of Neurogenic Speech Disorder-Apraxia of Speech (AOS) with Special Focus on Normalized Pitch Variation Characteristics
In this work the speech disorder namely Apraxia of Speech is discussed. The basics of the disorder are described here. The speech parameters are identified which characterize the disorder and correction system is designed to improve the speech quality. The speech signal samples of people of age between five to eighty years are considered for the present study. These speech signals are digitized and enhanced and analyzed for the Speech Pause Index, Jitter, Shimmer, HNR, Pitch variations Tx graphs, Normalized Percentile fo characteristics and % Close Quotient EGG graphs using MATLAB, PRAAT, SFS and EXCEL platforms.
