Implementing discrete wavelet transform and artificial neural networks for acoustic condition monitoring of gearbox
In present research, acoustic signals from gearbox of Massey Ferguson 285 are used for fault diagnosis of gears. Worn tooth face gear and broken tooth gear are studied as two common faults in gear-sets. Signal processing on acquired acoustic signals are done using wavelet transform. Decomposition is made using discrete wavelet transform (DWT) in four levels and using Db4 mother wavelet. Desired information from DWT decomposition is provided by applying some functions on DWT outputs. The investigated data set is fed into feed forward back-propagation neural network to classify the gears status. Two layer networks are trained and tested with separate data sets and using variable hidden layer neurons count. Results show that 100% performance is gained by a network with two neurons in hidden layer.

Comparative efficacy of mosquito coils on Anopheles stephensi (Liston), Aedes aegypti (Linn.) and Culex quinquefasciatus (Say) (Diptera: Culicidae)
A study was conducted to assess the knockdown and adulticidal efficacy of d-trans allethrin (0.1%) and d-allethrin (0.2%) mosquito coils under laboratory condition against Anopheles stephensi Liston, Aedes aegypti Linn. and Culex quinquefasciatus Say. These coils provided significant knockdown activity against the tested mosquitoes. KT50 and KT95 values indicated that Ae. aegypti was more susceptible to d-trans allethrin and An. stephensi was more susceptible to d-allethrin. Cx. quinquefasciatus was less susceptible to both the coils and needed longer time to be knocked- down. Mortality and revival rates after 24 h varied between the mosquito species. The highest mortality was recorded against Ae. aegypti (68.5%) followed by Cx. quinquefasciatus (55.5%) and An. stephensi (34.5%) respectively after 24 h of exposure to the coil fumes.

Dilemma of kalabagh dam and Pakistan future
The purpose of this study is to explore the importance of Kalabagh dam in the perspective of Pakistan. In addition, the study observes different views of the residents which cover all four provinces of Pakistan namely, Sindh, Punjab, Khyber PukhtoonKhawa (KPK) and Baluchistan. The importance of Kalabagh dam in Pakistan is related with electricity generation capacity which will meet the country’s power requirement. There has some reservation regarding construction of the dam. Sindh province objects that their share of the Indus water will be curtailed as water from the Kalabagh will go to irrigate farmlands in Punjab and Khyber PukhtoonKhawa at their cost. KPK province of Pakistan has concerns that large areas of Nowshera (district of KPK) would be submerged by the dam and even wider areas would suffer from water-logging and salinity. Further, as the water will be stored in Kalabagh dam as proposed Government of Pakistan, it will give water level rise to the city that is about 200 km away from the proposed location. Baluchistan is not directly affected by the dam as such, however, most nationalist Balochis claim the dam an instance of Punjab lording it over the smaller provinces. They have however, not included the dam in any of their state. Punjab needs more water to keep up with the growing population and industrial demands on its agriculture, therefore, the dam at Kalabagh would also supply cheap hydro-electric power to the whole country. The results of the study are of value to both academics and policy makers.

An integrated platform model study on regional agricultural multimedia information service
In order to get the knowledge easily and quickly for the new countryside to meet the requests on agriculture development by the advanced science and technology, emphasis on the regional agriculture. We put forward an integrated platform model that provide the demonstration and query on regional agriculture information. The solution is to set up the regional multimedia system based on the comprehensive agriculture information system, meanwhile, considering the current situations, including the network equipments and information system operations. After the analysis and design of the system function and structure, we introduce the operation and the realization of models in detail. It can achieve the general data by the demonstration system easily and the especially data by the query system, also the immediate data exchanging and sharing by the information exchange platform.

Perception of academic profession regarding publication in Finance, HR & Marketing & co authorship situation in Pakistan
Publication has its own importance for professionals. It is better to examine and encourage the young scholars. This article examines the perceptions of the professional faculty regarding the difficulty in publication in the field of finance, marketing, human resources management. Data was collected from Rawalpindi/Islamabad professionals. In this study descriptive tools used to analyzed the data. There was mixed response regarding the publication in Journals. It is also observed that institution tend more credit to the co authorship.

Theoritical study of test suite reduction techniques
As the software undergoes changes, new test cases are added to the existing one.In this way test suite size grows. Test suites should be maintained through out. The Test-Suite Minimization technique aims at reducing the test suite using various techniques such as genetic algorithm, test case prioritization & selection technique based on some of the coverage criteria. This technique should let testers to compute an optimal minimal test suite that satisfies those criteria keeping an eye to maximize coverage and fault detection capability with minimal running time and setup cost.

Planar geometry ion acoustic shock waves in electron-positron-ion quantum plasmas
We have studied the formation of quantum ion acoustic shock waves (QIASWs) in a three component unmagnetized plasma, whose constituents are electrons, ions and immobile positrons. The effects of both the dissipation due to the plasma kinematic viscosities and the dispersion caused by the Bohm potential are taken into account. Employing reductive perturbation method, we have obtained the deformed Korteweg-deVries Burger (dKVB) equation for quantum ion acoustic shock wave in planar geometry. From our numerical analysis, we have studied the effect of the quantum parameter H and ion kinematic viscosities (hi0) of the planar dKdVB on different values of the positron concentration P.

Treatment of sin, evil and thrill in the works of graham Greene
Graham Greene is a colossal figure in twentieth century literature. He is a prolific writer and has proved to be one of the main literary experts to the English speaking world. His writings are not just pieces of entertainment. They have more profound meaning and significance. Greene’s childhood seemed to be unhappy. From the events and influences of Greene’s early life readers can gather evidence of “flight, rebellion and misery during those first sixteen years when the novelists is formed.”1 Being a sensitive boy, Greene felt cramped in the environment in which he was placed. From his book of essays, The Lost Childhood and from his autobiography, A Sort of Life, we get an idea of Greene’s feeling of a sense of emptiness, boredom and lifeless depression during his early years.

Effect of exchange rate policies on non - traditional agricultural export - a case study of pineapple export in Ghana
Exchange rate policies associated with developmental programs of the past 28 years have led to the transformation of the agricultural export sector in many ways in Ghana. This study examines the effect of the exchange rate on pineapple export, one marked example of an increase in agricultural export for the European market. Based on a priori economic and statistical considerations, a logarithmic Cobb-Douglas functional model was used which applies annual time series data from 1980 to 2004 to estimate the export of pineapple as a function of real exchange rate, income of trading partner, competing price of pineapple of Cote d’Ivoire, and the local producer price of pineapple. The study shows that the real exchange rate has an effect on the pineapple export of the country, especially in the long run confirming the devaluations over the period of 1980 – 2004 with its concomitant increase in pineapple export. The study ended suggesting that authorities adhere to the fundamentals of the real exchange rate to be able to improve the performance of the exports, but this action must be consistent with other fiscal policies in order to attain balance of payment equilibrium.
