Synthesis and Study of Some New Substituted Quinazolinone Derivatives as Fungicides
A number of 5-Phenyl-1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]-quinazolin-6-ones(3), 3-(2,4-dichlorophenoxymethyl)-1,2,4-triazolo-[4,3-a]-quinazolin-6-ones(4) and 5-phenyl-3-mercapto - 1,2,4-triazolo-[4,3-a] -quinazolin-6-ones (5). These title compounds have been prepared by reaction of 2-hydrazino-3-phenyl-4-quinazolone (2) with formic acid, methoxy phenyl acetic acids and carbon disulphide respectively. These compounds have been evaluated for their fungicidal activity against Pyricularia oryzae, Pseudopernospora cubensis, Sphaeotheca fuliginea and Phytopthora infestans at 500 and 100 ppm.

The Biochemical Effects of Aluminum Intoxication on Serum Lipid Profile of Male Wistar Albino Rats.
This study was designed to investigate the biochemical effects of graded doses of aluminum on some serum lipid profile (SLP) of male wistar albino rats. A total of twenty-four male albino rats of 10-12 weeks of age were used for the study. They were randomly assigned to six groups (Groups A-D) of six rats each. The treatment groups-A to C were administered aluminum as aluminum chloride (AlCl3) : 0.38, 3.8, and 38 mg/kg body weight while group D received 0.2ml normal saline which served as vehicle. Assay of the SLP were carried out using standard biochemical methods after 14 days. The results showed that serum total cholesterol of the treatment group administered 38mg/kg decreased significantly (p<0.05) relative to the control whereas the serum low density lipoprotein (LDL) of the treatment groups administered 3.8mg/kg and 38mg/kg decreased significantly (p<0.05) relative to the control after 14 days of treatment. The treatment group administered 0.38mg/kg showed a decrease in serum total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein but were not statistically significant (p>0.05).

The effect of instruction on the pragmatic use of Iranian learners on the speech act of request
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of instruction on the pragmatic use of Iranian learners on the speech act of request. The benefits of instruction on learners’ production and awareness of speech acts is well documented ( Alcón and Martínez-Flor, 2008). The subjects of this study were 40 upper- intermediate students at Arian Language Institute in Gorgan, Iran. They were learning English in an EFL context. The data were collected using discourse completion task (DCT) tests following Kasper and Dahl (1991: 9) formats. The data, then were rated using two native speakers. Hudson et al.’s (1995) rating scale was used to train the raters. In order to analyze the data t test was performed with mean level of students’ scores as dependent variable and instruction as a grouping variable. The findings revealed that Iranian learners performed significantly better in experimental group for speech act of request.

The Effect of Temperature on the Fatigue Endurance Limit of 5052 & 2024 Al. alloys "Experimental Study"
In this work , an experimental study to obtain the fatigue endurance limit for two aluminum alloy , 2024 and 5052 , were carried out at stress ratio R=-1 and rotary bending tests . The fatigue tests were performed at RT, 100 °C, 200 °C and 300 °C in order to establish the S–N curve equations. The fatigue endurance limits for both alloys at different temperature conditions were calculated at 107 cycles from the empirical S-N curve equations. It was found that the fatigue endurance limit decrease with increasing the temperature. Also the reduction percentage in fatigue endurance limit for 5052 Al. alloy was higher than that of 2024 Al. alloy.

The Effects of Architectural Anatomy on Improving the Quality of Place identity(Case Study: Shiraz Opera Hall)
This study has examined the effects of architectural anatomy of opera hall on improving the quality of place identity. By measuring the effects of place identity on the inner aspects of human which are influenced by the physical and social environments it has investigated the results of a balance between internal and external environment. To assess the anatomical effects of urban landscape, two components of subjective landscape including perception and diversity and the component of objective landscape including form and order have been measured. The current survey is descriptive and the statistical population has been Shiraz which is a city in Iran. To analyze the data the SPSS software has been used. The results have been investigated in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics. In the inferential statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient has been used to evaluate the research hypotheses. The results of this study indicate that between the dimensions of landscape, the component of subjective landscape has the highest empact on the place identity and in the second place, objective landscape has the empact on the place identity. Anatomical effects have an important role on improving the quality of place identity of Shiraz citizens and in order to enhance the place identity in the urban landscape it is also required that they will be inspired and operated.
