Metal-Organic Frameworks as Effective Inhibitors for the Corrosion of Low Carbon Steel in Aqueous Media
Inhibition of C-steel corrosion by metal-organic frameworks containing heterocyclic ligand of Ag (I) in 1 M HCl was investigated by weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and electrochemical frequency modulation (EFM) measurements. The inhibition efficiency increased with increase in inhibitor concentration but decreased with rise in temperature. The thermodynamic parameters of corrosion and adsorption processes were determined and discussed. The adsorption of these inhibitors was found to obey Temkin’s adsorption isotherm. Whereas thermodynamic suggested that a physisorption process occurred. The surface morphology of carbon steel sample was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Micro credit for empowerment of micro people: A study of SHGs in paderu Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Andhra Pradesh
SHG is the best-root for triggering IGPs in rural and tribal areas and especially areas not properly connected to mainstream living. Coined with the multi-pronged objectives of development and empowerment of weaker section of the society, the strategy and methodology adopted to address the issues are taking care of the need of the marginalized at different economic strata’s through creating enabling environment for addressing the issues. The study is broadly measuring the level and impact of micro credit interventions, functionality and viability of institutions to management the credit, Micro Credit Plans for Self-help Groups as well as the sustainability of the initiatives following a peoples approach.

Micro-Climate Suspended Particulate Matter in Industrial Interiors, Its effects and Methods to control using landscaping green elements
This paper deals with effect of plants an element of landscape on micro-climate inside aluminum powder producing industry. With the objective to bring micro-climate conditions within or near comfort zone and also create better health condition to benefit health of workers in industry. The experiments were conducted with increase in density of plants in shortlisted experimental area. Identification and adoption of plants with glossy foliage for aluminium powder industry of grade (PAG-4C) is crucial for optimum results. The outcome has shown encouraging results to facilitate architectural intervention towards creating conducive work environment within the industry.

Optimization study on drilling of al-6061 with coated tools under MQL condition using hybrid approach
In this paper, a Hybrid approach has been developed by combining Taguchi Method, grey relational analysis method and fuzzy logic, to reap their advantages in the drilling process. Using hybrid approach a single hybrid grade is determined for multiple response characteristics. Drilling experiments has been performed on Al6061 material with coated and uncoated HSS tools under Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) condition. The controllable parameters such as speed, feed, lubricant, tool material and point angle which influence the responses like power, temperature, Burr height, surface roughness are identified. The responses are analyzed using this hybrid approach and optimum controllable parameter combination is identified.

Performance enhancement of thermal energy storage system with paraffin wax as phase change material: a review
Thermal energy can be stored as latent heat in which energy is stored when a substance changes from one phase to another by either melting or freezing. Paraffin wax has been widely used for latent heat thermal energy storage system applications due to large latent heat and desirable thermal characteristics. Paraffin wax has lower heat transfer rates during melting/freezing processes due to its inherent low thermal conductivity. This paper reviews and summaries the recent experimental and theoretical works on the thermal conductivity enhancement of paraffin wax.

Pre and Post-monsoon Variation in Physico-chemical characteristics in Groundwater quality of Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal district, Tamilnadu, India
The present investigation reports the results of monitoring study focusing on groundwater quality of Tiruchengode taluk, Namakkal district during Pre and Post monsoon period of 2012. This has been determined by collecting groundwater from 23 different sampling stations and subjecting the samples to a comprehensive physico chemical analysis. For calculating the WQI, the following 10 parameters have been considered i.e. Temperature, pH, Alkalinity, Dissolved oxygen, TDS, Total Hardness, Calcium, Magnesium, Chloride, Fluoride. The WQI during Pre-monsoon season varied from 135.01 to 382.75, while for Post-monsoon, it was found between 76 and 257. Significantly lower WQI for the Post-monsoon season was observed, indicating deterioration of the groundwater overall in corresponding season. The study revealed that groundwater from only 17.39 % locations was fit for domestic use, thus reveals that the groundwater of the study area needs some degree of treatment before consumption, and regular groundwater quality monitoring should be encouraged as a strategy towards groundwater quality protection and conservation.

Prediction of reliability of vehicle tire with use of Neuro-fuzzy networks
In this paper, one of the artificial intelligence techniques called networks for prediction of reliability of the tire is neuro-fuzzy network. At first key indices which are effective on reliability of tire are identified and then some rules have been designed and applied for system training with use of experts’ views. ANFIS system implements Takagi –Sugno fuzzy system as a system and inference and deduction of the system are mixed and an efficient tool is provided for simulating a nonlinear mapping. In the performed simulations, some 4-input networks are different with membership functions and have been studied in different iterations for prediction and finally the model which had high predictability was selected as optimal model.
