Investigating the Effect of Training Behavioral Cognitive Techniques on Instability of Marriage and Likelihood of Divorce
The partners increasingly experience dissatisfaction with their marriage, making them to request divorce. On the other hand, some partners resort to divorce as a means to establish and improve their marriage relationship. This make us to come to the light that the partners need professional intervention and training to cope with the issues they experience in this area. The current study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the training programs delivered on Cognitive-Behavioral techniques in improving the stability of marriage and. It also tries to determine how likely couples problems may develop into divorce. The study adopts a quasi-experimental methodology, using pre- and post-tests and control and study groups. The subjects to be studied consisted of 15 individuals as the study group and 15 individuals as the control group. They were selected from clients of the Consultation Center of Birjand county and family court of the county using a multi-stage random sampling method. The study group underwent 8 hours of a training program on Cognitive-Behavioral techniques. Using covariance analysis and independent correlated T-test on the results of the research indicated that the training program on Cognitive-Behavioral techniques will increase the stability of marriage and reduce the likelihood of divorce.

Effective Teaching Techniques in Chemical Engineering
A teacher in an engineering college is a professional in two ways, he is an engineer and he is also a teacher. Teacher has to keep on upgrading himself in his subject and at the same time has to develop skill to translate his expertise in his field into a proper style of teaching leading to effective learning by the students. The present communication is aimed at stimulating the teacher to think, evolve and execute practice leading to effective learning by the students. Here the author presents his personal experience on some of the effective teaching techniques in teaching various subjects of Chemical Engineering at undergraduate level. Details of the methods are also given.

Mental Health of Women: The Moderating of Self-efficacy
The participants of all the four groups were compared with respect to their mental health. The result indicated that androgynous women showed better mental health than that of sex-typed women. Women with high sense of efficacy showed better mental health and scored higher in almost all dimensions of mental health than less-efficacious women.

Remote Learning: Android Operated Educational Robot Arm with 6 DOF
This paper addresses an intelligent optimal control for a flexible robot arm that is driven by a permanent-magnet synchronous servo motor. An intelligent optimal control of robot arm with 5 axes with servo gripper is proposed by the instructions given through Android device (android app on smart phone). This proposal was addressed to fourth-year engineering students and combines knowledge from android java programming and robotic control to complete an automation project task. The educational robotic arm initially learns to pick up a randomly placed target from a target surface and move it to a predefined destination after which it repeats the contouring process under the presence of the target. This paper presents an off-line trajectory generation algorithm and, therefore, it possesses significant industrial implications, as no hardware changes are needed for its implementation. The proposed method has been experimented with Dexter ER-1 Robotic Arm for optimum project based learning.

Physiological Evaluation of the Anti-Diabetic Properties of Morinda lucida
The search for more effective hypoglycaemic agents continues to be an area of research interest. World Health Organization recommended the use of alternative therapy especially in countries including, Nigeria, where access to conventional treatments of diabetes is inadequate. Majority of people in Abeokuta were majorly peasant farmers and petty traders who could not afford high cost of pharmaceutical remedies of diabetes which is very rampant as a result of poor feeding pattern. However, naturally endowed plants such as Hibiscus sabdariffa are found everywhere, parts of which are taken as vegetables without putting into consideration its hypoglycemic advantages. However, this study could assist in providing some information needed for the health improvement of the rural populace (Abeokuta) as regards diabetes. Combination of 300g M. lucida + 100g A.sativum+l00g Z. officinale produced the best hypoglycaemic effect (69.85%) in alloxan-induced diabetic rats.

A Comparative Study of English Native Speakers and Iranian EFL
Various researches and studies on speech acts among different languages and contexts would help the man bridge the gap among the speakers of different languages. In other words, it could help to inform and alert speakers of the potential pragmatic mistakes that may arise in social, pedagogical and translation domains. To cope with interethnic communication difficulties can be also helped by these studies and researches for the speakers of dissimilar languages and cultures. The strategies employed by Native English speakers and Iranian EFL learners for expressing promising in different situations in order to find the differences that may exist between these two languages are investigated in this study. Researchers working in second language (L2) acquisition have investigated interlanguage pragmatics to document learners’ formulation of speech acts (SAs) and they have found that most of the problems that EFL learners face in intercultural communication are mainly pragmatic. Unlike comprehensive studies on SAs such as request and apology, the number of cross-cultural studies investigating expressions of promising is fairly limited and there are few studies investigating this speech act in both languages. The participants of this study were 27 among whom 20 were Iranian EFL learners and the native English speakers included 7 people. The participants were both male and female, aging from 18 to 31 years old. An open-ended DCT were employed for studying participants' responses and verbal reactions to different situations. The results of Chi-square test suggested that these two groups vary in their use of strategies and types of promising. Iranian EFL learners’ sensitivity to L1 made them use inappropriate expressions and strategies in their English responses. It suggested that Persian learners of English transfer some of their L1 pragmatic norms to L2 because they perceive these norms to be universal.

An Empirical Study on Day of the Week Effect among Stocks of selected banks in India
Seasonal or calendar anomalies in equity markets (over specific days, weeks, months, and even years) have attracted a widespread attention and considerable interests among practitioners and academics alike. The day of the week effect refers to the existence of a pattern on the part of stock returns, whereby these returns are linked to the particular day of the week The primary objective of the study is to investigate the existence of seasonality in stock price behavior in Indian stock market, more specifically to investigate the existence of the day of the week effect in banking sector. The rationale behind the selection of banking sector is stocks in this sector always experience high volatility in the market, linked to the movement of broad market index and banking in India is critical to economic development of the nation. Thus this sector hence needs special attention by investors. The period of the study is from 3rd November 1994 to 31st December 2013. For the purpose analysis, the study has employed daily price series that have been obtained from the official website of National Stock Exchange (NSE). The daily price series of selected nine banks were selected for this study, and used multiple regression technique to examine the significance of the regression coefficient for investigating day of week effects. It is found that all the nine selected banks evidenced day of the week effect and mostly either on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Only IDBI, OBC and PNB evidenced significant Thursday effect. The existence of seasonality in stock returns violates the weak form of market efficiency because equity prices are no longer random and can be predicted based on past pattern. This facilitates market participants to devise trading strategy which could fetch abnormal profits on the basis of past pattern. These findings have important implications for the financial managers, financial analysts and investors. The understanding of seasonality would help them to develop appropriate investment strategies.

Experimental work on PVC turbine blade of mill
The torque of the continuously variable transmission system with friction drive mechanism is transmitted by contacting roller with input and output disks. For the higher transmitted torque, it is necessary to apply large load in order to get higher friction force, which in turn generates severe high stress on the contact surfaces of roller and disks. The ‘Toroidal’ type CVT system has simple component arrays that have three contact points between roller and each input or output disk to get the torque transmitted. This work documents a successfully developed experimental model of a ‘Toroidal’ continuously variable transmission (CVT) by adjusting its geometrical configuration of CVT design and compared the experimental results of speed, torque and power delivered at the output disc with those obtained by a theoretical.
