Phytochemical and Antimicrobial screening of Datura species against various clinical isolates
The investigation was carried out to determine the possible bioactive components of the leaves and fruits of Daturastramonium and D. metelby Antimicrobial activity and GC-MS. The chemical compositions of the methanol extract of the D. stramonium and D. metelwere investigated using Hewlett-Packard Gas chromatography–Mass spectrometry, while the mass spectra of the compounds found in the extract was matched with the Wiley and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) library or with the published mass spectra. Maximum activity was observed in methanolic extracts of fruits of D. metel against mycoplasma at 200mg/ml and minimum against Pseudomonas chrysogenumat 50mg/ml.

Epidemiological study of Malaria incidence in the Lakhimpur District of Assam
Malaria is one of the most severe problems faced by the world even today. The objective of the present report was to make a comparative epidemiological study for the year 2009 and 2010 of malaria endemic blocks of Lakhimpur district of Assam, India to assess the malaria situation. The data have been collected from all block PHC’s under Lakhimpur district. Form the report of malaria cases for 2000-2011, Plasmodium vivax was the predominant parasite species except 2011 where Plasmodium falciparum was the majority parasite. Comparatively we got lowest API and SFR for the year 2010 than 2009. Amongst PHC’s, we saw that the Boginadi PHC, which is a tribal dominated and share border with Arunachal Pradesh, was worse affected by malaria incidence. It was observed that PHC’s sharing interstate border had many more cases compared to those having sharing inter district border. Also we got high malaria cases in foothill/forest fringe areas, where health infrastructure/health awareness is weak and transmission of the disease is high.

The present study aimed at assessing performance of SPKMP in terms of implementation of the program as well as the performance of the organizations that involved in the program, particularly looking into the mechanism used in managing the program with special reference to district of Kuala Terengganu. By using official records and reports from various agencies at the central level and district offices besides observation and in-depth interviews with households and officials at the agencies involved, the study discovered some interesting findings. Firstly, the principles serve as a guideline for the implementation of the program were not followed by the implementing agencies at the district level. Various malpractices were also detected. Secondly, the evaluation showed that most of the program outputs cannot help the fishermen to increase their household income and savings. Thirdly, the marine resources are depleting, therefore the fishermen are not able to increase their catch. Furthermore, coastal communities have not received sufficient assistance in the program so they do not get the necessary moral support. This study shows that the development agencies have not been able to implement the program properly because of weak and inefficient management. Policies, strategies and activities that are more suitable are needed to improve the program.

Influence of layer thickness on part quality in SLA process by TOPSIS method
Stereolithography is one of the Rapid Prototyping technologies, useful for time-compression of the product development cycle. The part characteristics of SL product are essential for the intended functional applications. The parameters are layer thickness, orientation, Post curing, hatch spacing and over cure. The study is conducted on test samples of SL5530 which were built on SLA 5000 machines and tested under ASTM specified test conditions. This study is to investigate the influence of layer thickness on part quality by using the TOPSIS method. The results show that the optimal layer thickness which influences the part quality is 50 microns.

Effect of visual cues associated with hyper links on academic achievement of science for six- grade students
This paper is a report on the findings of a study conducted on seventh-grade science course. Experimental techniques were used to examine the resulting of utilizing visual cues in a web-based learning environment. Findings indicate that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the mean scores of the science achievement test of the first experimental group (which uses the web site with visual cues associated with hyperlinks) and the second experimental group (which uses the web site without visual cues associated with hyperlinks). However, there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the pre and post applications of the science achievement test of the first experimental group in favor of the post application. Also, there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the pre and the post applications of the science achievement test of the second experimental group in favor of the post application.

Regression analysis is used to check the intensity between variables. For this purpose, SPSS 20 is used. Result shows that there is a strong positive correlation between variables as (r=0.858) and also value of R-Square (0.81) indicates that 81% independent variables effecting the investors decision. Quality characteristics of herbal jelly
Herbs are an ancient source of flavourings, aromatic compounds and medicines. Their health properties are linked to a number of chemical constituents, including vitamins, flavanoids, terpenoids, carotenoids, phytoestrogens and minerals. Herbs and their components have high antioxidant activity and antimicrobial property, which in a food matrix can delay the spoilage. With the growing popularity of herbs, it is not surprising that they are finding their way into fruit jellies. Considering this, an attempt was made to develop guava jelly containing selected herbal extracts namely Mentha cordifolia, Coriandrum sativum and Ocimum tenuiflorum. They were analysed for physico-chemical and organoleptic characteristics. The prepared jellies possessed optimum level of total soluble solids (TSS), pH and acidity. Taste panellists recorded high scores for the herbal jellies compared to plain guava jelly due to its characterisitic flavour and colour. The jellies prepared using herbal extracts were more transparent and quivery. Taken together, herbal extracts would appear to have a positive effect on the jelly quality in terms of most of the physicochemical properties and sensory evaluation. The preparation of good quality jelly with herbal substitution is certainly becoming a matter of very much importance, as it benefits the mankind in various ways.
