This paper re-examines the evidence for cointegration between international stock prices. It applies Johansen’s maximum likelihood (ML) cointegration method Var and impulse response stock price of Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia and the United States, with monthly data covering the period of 01/02/2004-01/07/2016. it finds at most one cointegrating vector from the developed market to emerging market. The results show that no bivariate cointegration exists between the Nigeria and any of the stock markets being studied, and the multivariate cointegration confirms the result. The findings on dynamic return linkages is that there is no significant returns linkages among the markets, with the exception to UK. Indeed FTSE100 is the most exogenous. Therefore, all markets are not exposed to the same set of risk factors and the risk premia on each factor varies among all markets. The non-existence of a cointegrating relationship between the Nigerian market and the considered stock markets implies that these markets offer potential for pairwise portfolio diversification for a Nigerian portfolio manager

Human rights in a democratic setting: The Nigerian experience
Taking a critical analysis of human rights observation over the years, one is faced with the reality that a society where the human person enjoys human rights and full dignity has remain an ever-enduring dream and almost a mirage. The objective of this study therefore is to assess the relationship between human rights observation and true democracy. Data were collected through the administration of structured questionnaires to 150 respondents. However, only 75 respondents returned their questionnaires. The data collected were analyzed using simple percentage analytical methodology. Findings revealed that democracy in Nigeria is an aberration of the ideals of democracy and leaves little to be desired with plethora abuses of human rights. The study therefore recommends that focus should be on how to ensure that the tenets, norms and principles of democracy are fully observed by those elected into offices, and that government should do its best to see that factors that hinder speedy dispensation of justice are mitigated. The study also recommended that the press that is assigned the responsibility of upholding the fundamental objectives of the state, must adequately monitor leadership behavior and style and make their public debates with a view to selecting incorruptible and honest leaders. The study conclude that the act of good governance cannot be discovered in any document rather it is in the willingness of those who governed to provide good leadership. Therefore, Nigerians and people the world over must of necessity direct their attention to fair exercise of power granted by the constitution by those in leadership positions rather than look for perfect constitutions.

Introduction of the Transtheoretical Model and Organizational Development Theory in Weight Management: A Narrative Review
The transtheoretical model of behavior change is an integrative theory of treatment that analyses a person's readiness to adopt a new, healthier habit and offers solutions, or change processes, to help them do so. Stages of change, processes of change, and levels of change, self-efficacy, and decisional balance are among the constructs in the model. The transtheoretical model is also known by the acronym "TTM" and the term "stages of change," however the latter word is a synecdoche because the stages of change are only one component of the model, which also includes processes, levels of change, and so on.

Pay-as-You-Throw (PAYT) for Municipal Solid Waste. The experience of the Benevento’s municipality
Growing public interest and awareness of environmental issues have contributed to the global spread of pay-as-you-throw (PAYT) schemes, highlighting their effectiveness in promoting cultural change toward more responsible and sustainable consumption practices. The objective of this paper, after a systematic review of the literature, is to analyze the system, methods, and calculation of point-based taxation, focusing on the benefits: from the point of view of environmental sustainability, the application of the point-based tariff leads to a reduction in waste, while increasing sorting and recycling; from the point of view of local finances, this could reduce the costs of waste management services, through more efficient use of public resources. After outlining trends in using the PAYT system in Italian municipalities over the past five years, we focus on implementation in Benevento, a medium-sized city in southern Italy. Introducing this system involves several significant investments, funds for which can be raised from Recovery and Resilience Plan funds and through a complex administrative process.
