Surveying the Impact of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction
This research intends to study on the impact which emotional intelligence may exert on job satisfaction in employees of Behnoush Company. After reviewing the literature pertaining to emotional intelligence and job satisfaction, we created two separate questionnaires in which emotional intelligence and job satisfaction were central. We aimed, by these questionnaires, at ranking job satisfaction elements. After verifying their reliability and validity they were distributed among members of statistical population. Results obtained from application of Pearson correlation as well as regression tests indicate that there is a positive, meaningful relation between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction. It was also found that the relation of social skills and self-regulation with job satisfaction was more than other relations. Also, using one-way variance analysis test, the relation between demographic features of employees and their job satisfaction was considered. The results proved no relations between the said variables.

A study of the relationship between the thinking styles of the vocational schools’ students and their academic performance
This study aimed at investigating the relationship between the legislative, executive and judicial thinking styles of the vocational schools’ students and their academic performance. This is an applied research and both qualitative and quantitative methods were used. A sample of 250 students, 125 girls and 125 boys, were selected through simple random sampling from among the sophomore students of the vocational schools in Ilam province, Iran , in the academic year 2009-2010.To analyze the data, descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient and multivariable regression were used. The findings revealed that the students who possessed executive thinking style obeyed and performed the orders in terms of practical thought .However; these students got lower grades compared to other students in specified courses such as mathematics, fundamentals of IT and computer programming. The students who possessed judicial thinking style got better grades compared to other students in terms of practical thought and academic progression in the specified courses. These thinking styles(legislative, executive, and judicial thinking styles) had the potential to predict the standard variable and this potentiality was 0/05 for the executive thinking style and 0/01 for judicial and legislative thinking styles. As for the students who possessed legislative thinking style there was a significant relation between their academic performance and their thinking style. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient of girls and boys was not significant in terms of gender. Analysis of different thinking styles showed that there was a linear relationship between the standard variable (the students' performance) and predicting variables (legislative, executive and judicial thinking style).

Translation of Gender Stereotypes in Animated Films: A Case Study of Shrek 2 and Ice Age 2
Full time television viewing may contribute significantly to children's acquisition of stereotypic perceptions of behavior and psychological characteristics associated with males and females. There has been research interest in how children might be effected by the sex role stereotypes. The trend has always been such that female characters are attributed to certain feminine acts in contrast with males whose stereotypes portrayed in children media are expected to be major and masculine. Children in particular spend a great amount of time watching TV and are related to the content of what they watch which shapes their perception. Contrary to traditional portrayal of sex-roles in animated films in which male characters are more likely to demonstrate physical aggression and leadership roles whereas female characters are more apt to demonstrate affection, romance, and supportive roles than are male, it has recently been observed a change occurring in the way sex-roles are represented in animated movies. To realize if this change also appears in the Persian dubbed version of animated films, this study is an attempt to analyze popular television cartoons produces from 1990 to 2012, comparing the original with the dubbed version and the way their portrayals of gender stereotypes undergo change across the two languages. To this end, instances extracted of sex-role stereotypes were extracted and subjected to comparison. It must be mentioned that the present article is a small part of the researcher’s MA thesis in which over one hundred animated movies were reviewed and analyzed completely (see the Appendix ). Only two of the analyzed animated movies, Shrek 2 and Ice Age 2, are discussed here. The results indicated that differences in the way the two versions portray sex-role stereotypes could be clearly indexed and categorized. The Persian dubbed version tended to ignore the worldwide occurring changes in portraying sex-roles.

Occupational stress among technical teachers in technical schools in Johore, Malacca and negeri sembilan
This study investigated factors that contributed stress and the level of occupational stress among the technical teachers who are currently teaching in technical schools in Johore, Malacca and Negeri Sembilan. There were five teacher stress sources that included in this study: pupil misbehaviour, teacher workload, time and resources difficulties, interpersonal relationships, and recognition. A total of 92 teachers (N = 92) from nine technical schools in three states, which are Johore, Malacca and Negeri Sembilan were choosed randomly to represent the population by using the cluster over cluster method. The instrument for this study was adapted from the Teacher Stress Inventory constructed by Boyle, Borg, Falzon and Baglioni (1995) and had been modified by Mokhtar (1998) and Mazlan (2002). A pilot survey was done among 20 technical teachers in a technical school in Johore Bahru. The alpha croncbach for the instrument in this study was 0.982. The data were analyzed using both despcriptive (mean, frequency, and percentage) and inferency (Independent t-Test, Pearson Correlation, and One Way ANOVA) methods. Data analysis indicated that the overall stress level of respondent was moderate. Among the five stressors, pupil misbehaviour was the strongest determinant of teacher stress with a mean of 3.67. Other factors were teacher workload (mean = 3.00), time and resources difficulties (mean = 2.97), recognition (mean = 2.90), and interpersonal relationships (mean = 2.85) respectively. The workload and other factors had caused a moderate stress on the respondents. The results indicated that there was no significant difference of work stress among the respondent based on gender, marriage status, and highest academic qualification.
